Nerlande

Another one of my beautiful Haitian friends. Nerlande. Throughout the video, it looks like Nerlande is laughing, but she is actually trying not to cry. For most Haitians, they do not like to talk about the earthquake, and that is what her miracle is related to. It is hard to hear, but just watch and enjoy listening to her talk! I love it. After the earthquake in Haiti, Nerlande got very sick. I think she hit her head during the earthquake. For a long time, she had horrible headaches and fought her sickness. At one point she prayed to Heavenly Father and told him that if He would heal here, she would find a way to serve him. Soon after, she was healed, physically, mentally and emotionally. Later, she attended an English class by a Sustain Haiti teacher who invited her to church (LDS), and eventually Nerlande was baptized. She is now determined to serve a mission to fulfill her promise to God in gratitude for the healing she received. Enjoy!
