Angels
I haven't disappeared!
Here's a random miracle that came back to me as I was talking to Sister Parker (my MTC and mission companion) on the phone earlier today.
There's an organization called "Anasazi" in Mesa where they take troubled youth out into the wilderness to help them change their lives. The people who lead the groups are usually young adults, and in between their wilderness excursions, they would come to the Visitors' Center to meditate or to spiritually refresh themselves.
One day an Anasazi guy named Will came in, and we started chatting about his work and also about his mission. I asked him what miracles he saw on his mission, and he shared an amazing experience! Here it is:
He and his companion brought their bikes in at night and the next morning, they were about to bike to an appointment, but somehow their bike tires had gone completely flat - when they were fine the night before. They decided to walk the hour to the appointment instead. On the walk, there was a red stop light, so they stopped at the crosswalk. At the same crosswalk was a girl waiting to cross too. Will saw the seconds clicking and felt like he should talk to her, but didn't think he could before the time ran out and the light turned green. He said hi anyway and introduced himself. Immediately the girl recognized him and asked if he was the same Will she went to elementary school with!! Apparently, when they were about 4-5 years old they were best friends, but hadn't seen each other in years. And here she was in his mission boundaries. They began teaching her, and she was baptized. Will told me he believes an angel came and let the tires out of their bikes.
I believe him!
