Beach, Water, Stake Conference, Colson

Yesterday was Liz' birthday! We loaded her with gifts her aunt sent as well as a cake. The whole birthday was not perfect though. After a beautiful time at the beach, we had to hike up a mountain to get back to the main road. Liz has asthma, and it was difficult for her, as well as for me who was pretty exhausted and for Rhiannon who has chickun gunya. Rhiannon suggested we say a prayer to help us, and I know that prayer brought miracles. We made it home even faster than we got to the beach, plenty of time before dark. And then Fanez surprised us with pizza for dinner!! Real, True American pizza!! Or Italian or whatever. It was delicious.

Another miracle. Our water pump hasn't been working, and when we got back from the beach - we had water again in the house! We haven't had the electrician over to look at it yet, it just was working when we got home!

Today was an amazing stake conference and then a visit to the orphanage. At Stake Conference, Elder Hallstrom of the 70 promised that one day Haiti will have a temple. Then he had all the 1st generation members of the church raise their hands, and almost the entire room had hands up in the air. Tonight our friend Colson met with the missionaries and accepted a baptismal date! The miracles just keep coming. Chak jou.
